Youth For Understanding USA (YFU)
Scott Messing serves as President & CEO of Youth For Understanding USA (YFU), a role held since June 2022, with prior tenure in the same position from November 2016 to October 2020. Messing has extensive experience in organizational leadership, particularly within YFU, where oversight includes day-to-day operations and the Exchange Experience Division. Earlier roles include Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Youth For Understanding, Chief of Staff for the National Association of Attorneys General, and various leadership positions in state government, including Deputy Commissioner of Professional Licensing and Deputy Secretary for Administration. Messing's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and German from Bucknell University and a JD from Penn State Dickinson Law.
