Jane Colechin currently serves as the Deputy Director of Evidence and Evaluation at Youth Futures Foundation, a position held since January 2020, where responsibilities include leading the evidence and evaluation team and commissioning impact evaluations. Previously, Jane held the role of Head of Evidence and Evaluation at the same organization, focusing on similar leadership and evaluation responsibilities. Jane's extensive experience also includes serving as a Senior Researcher at the Learning and Work Institute from January 2016 to November 2019, as well as at the Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion from May 2013 to January 2016, where roles included Senior Researcher and Researcher. Jane Colechin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science from the University of Birmingham between 2005 and 2009.

Youth Futures Foundation is the What Work’s Centre for youth employment. We aim to narrow employment gaps for young people facing the greatest challenges by identifying what works and why and investing in evidence generation to improve policy and practice. Everything we do is guided by robust evidence of what works to support young people from marginalised backgrounds into good jobs. We learn from the projects we fund and scale up that learning to drive genuine, long-lasting systemic change
