Job Description: Junior DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and our AWS based infrastructure, ensuring the seamless integration of these two critical functions. Your role is pivotal in enhancing our software delivery processes and maintaining a reliable infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of technology, collaborating with development teams to streamline the deployment, delivery, and management of software products. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality software to our users efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, leveraging best practices for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of AWS services and features to optimize infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and EKS to support the deployment and operation of containerized applications and microservices.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources in a repeatable and automated manner.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of cloud-based applications and services.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architecture and performance for cloud environments, providing guidance on cloud-native design principles and best practices.
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts for AWS infrastructure and services, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
- Stay current with AWS services, features, and updates, evaluating new technologies and tools to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 1 -3 years of experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineering, experience designing, deploying and managing AWS based infrastructure
- AWS Certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator would be an added advantage
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience in infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform.
- Good knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a passion for learning and staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.
- Commitment to security best practices and compliance standards, with experience implementing and maintaining security controls in AWS environments.
