Wei Lun Wong

Wei Lun Wong has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Software Engineer I at YouTrip since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at DBS Bank, where they held multiple roles. First, they were an Associate Software Engineer in the Consumer Banking Group Tech and Core Engine (C2E) - Digital Ecosystems (DBS PayLah!) from July 2020 to September 2022. In this role, they served as a backend developer and domain owner for a backend microservice, handling responsibilities such as code review, approving pull requests, and maintaining dependencies. Wei Lun also participated in UAT testing and was involved in generating millions of QR codes for public and corporate use. Before that, Wei Lun was a Full Stack Web Developer in the Consumer Banking Group Tech and Core Engine (C2E) - Chief Operating Office at DBS Bank from August 2020 to July 2021. Here, they developed a Cloud Onboarding Portal using React and Node.js, which consolidated and automated multiple cloud onboarding processes into a single platform.

Prior to their time at DBS Bank, Wei Lun had an internship as a Process Engineering Intern at Chevron from July 2019 to December 2019. In this role, they provided support to the Process Engineering team in troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing the production unit. Wei Lun also developed VBA Excel programs to automate processes such as data extraction and engineering calculations.

Furthermore, Wei Lun had a short internship as a Supporting Intern at JustLogin in June and July 2018. Here, they supported the financial team in accounts receivable functions and assisted the onboarding team in client accounts set up and enquiry.

Lastly, Wei Lun worked briefly as an Operations Executive at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd in April and May 2016.

Wei Lun Wong completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, they also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University. Prior to their university studies, Wei Lun attended Anglo-Chinese Junior College from 2012 to 2013, where they completed their GCE A-Levels in the Science Stream.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Wei Lun has obtained certifications in the field of cloud computing. Wei Lun obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021, and prior to that, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification in November 2020.
