Chris Liu

Chris Liu has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Chris served as an Engineering Lead at YouTube starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at MasterClass as the Director of Engineering from 2021 to 2023. In this role, they led engineering teams and achieved significant success in go-to-market optimization and feature launch velocity improvement.

Before joining MasterClass, Chris spent several years at Google in various roles. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer & Tech Lead Manager, leading a team and designing frontend infrastructure for shopping ads. Chris also played a key role in building a multi-billion dollar business through UI/UX optimization. Prior to this, they held positions as a Staff Software Engineer & Tech Lead Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer at Google.

Chris started their career as a Software Engineer at Yahoo! in 2010 and worked there until 2011. Chris also had a brief stint as a Software Engineer at Google in 2007.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive impactful results in the technology industry.

Chris Liu completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Sun Yat-sen University in 2008 and went on to pursue a Master's degree in the same field at the same university from 2008 to 2010.
