Ed Lea

Ed Lea is an experienced design professional currently working at YouTube since May 2024. Previously, Ed served as the Director of UX for Google Pixel Watch & Fitbit Devices, overseeing the launch of the Pixel Watch in 2022 and the development of new Fitbit trackers. Ed held several leadership roles at Google, including Head of Design for the Google App and Head of News UX, where strategic vision and team execution were paramount. Ed's earlier career includes positions as a Senior Product Designer at Inkling, a Senior UX Designer at Tango Me, and Lead Mobile Designer at Qype/Yelp. Ed began a journey in design as the founder of SoopSee.com and contributed to Abbey Road Studios in design and motion graphics. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Anglia Ruskin University.
