Itamar Herzberg

Vice President, Data Science at YouTube

Itamar Herzberg has extensive work experience in the field of data science and analytics. Itamar currently serves as the Vice President of Data Science at YouTube, a position they have held since November 2019. In this role, they lead the YouTube Data Science team and contributes to crucial product and strategic decisions within the platform. Itamar also works across the Google organization to define and refine the role of Data Science in building responsible products.

Before their tenure at Google, Itamar worked as the Director of Analytics and an Executive Team Member at Slide, a company acquired by Google. At Slide, they analyzed and optimized several apps and games on social networks such as MySpace and Facebook.

Itamar began their career as a Senior Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting (Mercer Oliver Wyman) in October 2005. Itamar then worked as a Senior Consultant at IBM Corp (previously PWC Consulting) from September 2003 to June 2005.

In addition, Itamar gained valuable experience in investment banking as an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS in July 2002. Itamar also worked as an Analyst at Dendrite Software International Private Limited in July 2001, and as an Operations Research Analyst at Merck in July 2000.

Throughout their career, Itamar Herzberg has consistently demonstrated their expertise in data science, analytics, and quantitative analysis, contributing to the growth and success of organizations in various industries.

Itamar Herzberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Engineering Management Systems and a minor in Economics from Columbia University between 1999 and 2003.
