Richard Jones

Richard Jones has a diverse work experience in the field of health and recovery. Richard currently holds the position of Chief Clinical Officer at Youturn Health since June 2022, and also serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer since December 2018. Prior to this, they worked as the President/Executive Director of Jones Solutions Group LLC since January 2006.

Before joining Youturn Health, Richard worked at Heritage Health Solutions as the Executive Vice President and Executive Director of Heritage Cares from June 2021 to January 2023. Richard also served as the CEO/COO of Faces And Voices Of Recovery (FAVOR) Greenville, a non-profit organization, from July 2013 to June 2021, where they focused on promoting long-term recovery from substance use disorders.

Richard has also held positions at Greenville Technical College, Pavillon International, Westmoreland County Community College, and Outside In Pathway to Recovery. At Greenville Technical College, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty Member from September 2013 to September 2019. At Pavillon International, they served as the Director of Community Recovery Residences from August 2012 to July 2013. Richard was also an Adjunct Faculty of Sociology at Westmoreland County Community College from September 2011 to June 2013. At Outside In Pathway to Recovery, they worked as the Manager of Behavioral Healthcare Programs from July 2006 to August 2012.

Furthermore, Richard has experience in founding and directing non-profit human services organizations. Richard served as the Founder and Director of Comprehensive Recovery Resources Inc., a non-profit organization focused on community-based addiction/recovery services, from July 2010 to August 2012. Richard also worked at Consulting, Coaching, Training at Community Based Addiction/Recovery Services, where they founded and directed a non-profit human services organization from July 2010 to August 2012.

Earlier in their career, Richard held a position at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where they served as the Director of the Assertive Community Treatment Team. Richard was responsible for delivering quality behavioral health services and managing the team from October 2001 to July 2006.

Richard Jones received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from St Vincent College in the years 1987 to 1992. Richard then went on to obtain a Drug and Alcohol Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies from the Community College of Allegheny County from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2009.

In 2011, Richard earned a Certificate in Positive Psychology from Drexel University Continuing Education. Richard also completed an MBA degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Scranton from 2011 to 2013.

Richard has acquired numerous certifications throughout their career. Some of these include being an Internationally Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional and an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, both obtained in June 2003. Richard also holds certifications as a Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor, a Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor, all obtained through the PA Certification Board in different years. Richard is also a Certified Clinical Supervisor through the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board since August 2012. Moreover, they are a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and an ARISE Interventionist. Richard has completed conflict management certification and a positive psychology visionary science program from Coursera, as well as a Family Group Decision Making Facilitator course from Allegheny County Child Welfare. Richard is also certified as a Department of Transportation-Substance Abuse Professional by the NAADAC-National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.
