Rob Pinniger

Rob Pinniger has extensive experience in the field of media and technology. Rob is currently serving as the Head of Platform Security at YouView TV Limited since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked for Virgin Media from May 2013 to September 2020, where they held the role of Associate Director, Content Security (Virgin Media) and Head of Content Protection (Liberty Global). In this position, they served as the technical representative for major content partners and played a crucial role in rights negotiations, as well as determining content protection solutions across various platforms and lifecycles. Before joining Virgin Media, they served as the Director of Operations and Technology at Diagonal View, where they managed multiple teams for creating content on YouTube and other video-centric media sites. Rob has also held positions at Channel 5, Encompass Digital Media (previously Ascent Media), The Club, EMI Music, Abbey Road Interactive, TVP Digital Media/Stream Digital Media, and One (UK) Ltd. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in areas such as content security, technology management, and media asset management.

Rob Pinniger attended Christ College, Brecon from 1984 to 1990, but the specific degree and field of study they pursued during this time are not mentioned.
