Samanthya Marlatt

Samanthya Marlatt, MPA, currently serves as the Director of Youth Empowerment & Advocacy and AMP Program Manager at YSS since September 2022. Samanthya has been a Young Fellow at the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative since July 2011, speaking nationally to improve outcomes for children transitioning from the foster care system. Previous roles include Workforce Advisor/Career Planner at Iowa Workforce Development and various positions at Nationwide, including Rep II Sls Support, along with experience in customer service at Starbucks. Samanthya has participated in AmeriCorps, overseeing youth mentoring campaigns and engaging youth in development programs. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Administration from Drake University and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations from Grand View University.
