Katy Walneuski

Katy Walneuski has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Katy most recently worked as a Senior Designer at Yubico since November 2020. Prior to that, they had their own design studio called Katy Walneuski Design from April 2018 to May 2021, where they served as a Freelance Art Director. In this role, they conceptualized, designed, and implemented engaging visual stories and user experiences across digital and print platforms.

Katy also worked as a Senior Designer/Contractor at Proofpoint from October 2019 to January 2020, where they created and maintained the company's visual identity system. Before that, they were employed at Roku Inc. as a Designer from March 2019 to June 2019, where they designed in-store displays, merchandising kits, and developed graphics for various digital and print campaigns.

From 2004 to 2018, they held the position of Senior Visual & Brand Designer at 1185, where they led teams and worked on various branding projects, creating unique visual languages. Prior to that, they had their own freelance graphic design business under the name Katy Walneuski Design from 2003 to 2004.

Furthermore, Katy attended the University of California, Santa Cruz to study Mobile Interface Design, although they did not complete a degree in this field.

In addition to their formal education, Katy obtained certifications in IDEO Insights for Innovation from IDEO U in August 2019 and User Experience Design from General Assembly in April 2018.
