Nic Sarginson, CISSP, has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Nic began their career in 1986 as a Programmer/Technical Support at Healthcare Computer Systems, where they contributed to the development of software projects for the NHS. During their time there, they also designed and delivered a bespoke Pathology Stats system.
In 1990, Sarginson joined Sphinx Level V as a Technical Support/Consultant before moving to SCO in 1992 as a Technical Analyst. At SCO, they provided support to EMEA partners, distributors, and OEMs, specializing in Lan Manager and Unipath 3270 products.
Sarginson then joined Sphinx CST in 1994 as a Consultancy Manager, where they led the OS and Database teams and implemented ISO 9000 standards. Nic continued their consultancy management career as a Consultancy Manager/Director at Amonra Insight from 1999 to 2003, offering technical services and developing the Chokan system.
From 2002 to 2003, Sarginson served as the Consultancy Manager at Arc Technology, where they successfully rebranded and relaunched the services business, achieving 120% of targets within seven months.
In 2003, Sarginson joined Portwise as a Principal Consultant, providing pre-sales services and managing technical accounts. With Portwise merging with Nexus Technology in 2010, they assumed the role of Technical Account Manager and expanded the solutions offered in the PKI and smart card arenas, including SAML and OATH technologies.
Sarginson has most recently been employed at Yubico since 2017. Nic started as a Solutions Lead, specializing in One-Time Password (OTP), 2-Factor Authentication, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and PSD2. Nic subsequently held the positions of Senior Solutions Engineer and currently serves as the Principal Solutions Engineer.
Throughout their career, Sarginson has consistently demonstrated expertise in IT security, identity and access management, and secure authentication technologies.
