Mercedes Espinoza Monroy

Mercedes Espinoza Monroy has extensive work experience in the legal field. Mercedes began their career as an Auxiliar legal at Empresas Polar in 2013, where they later became an Analista de Asuntos Legales. In 2018, they joined Marine Management de Venezuela, C.A. as an Abogado, handling various legal matters until 2021. Simultaneously, they worked at Guadarrama, Espinoza & Asociados, also as an Abogado, from 2018 until 2023. In 2019, they briefly worked as an Abogado at Zumaque Capital Partners. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Legal & Compliance at Yummy (YC S21), having previously been a Legal Manager. Their roles have included contract drafting and review, analysis of legal documents, and the preparation of minutes and company constitutions.

Mercedes Espinoza Monroy completed their high school education, earning a Bachiller en Humanidades degree, at Colegio Mater Salvatoris from 1997 to 2010. Mercedes continued their studies at UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where they obtained a degree in Law (Abogado), graduating in 2015. In 2016 and 2017, they pursued further education at Universidad Metropolitana (VE), specializing in International Business (Especialista en Negocios Internacionales).
