Dr. Gokhan Sungun, CIA, CRMA, CCSA, CPA (AU), CPA (TR), KGKBD

Dr. Gokhan Sungun, CIA, CRMA, CCSA, CPA (AU), CPA (TR), KGKBD has a wealth of experience in the field of finance. Dr. Gokhan began their career in 2003 as the CFO of Borusan Otomotiv. Dr. Gokhan then moved to Electro World as CFO in 2007, and then to Teleperformance as CFO in 2008. In 2011, they took on the role of VP of Internal Audit & IT at Bayraktar Holding. From 2015 to 2016, Dr. Sungun was the Senior Internal Audit Manager at TVNZ. Dr. Gokhan then became a Lecturer (Finance) at Auckland University of Technology's Faculty of Business & Law. In 2016, they took on the role of Risk Governance & Finance Director at Yupana, Inc., and then CFO of the same company in 2020. Most recently, they became an Adjunct Professor (Economics/Finance/Mathematics) at Westcliff University's College of Business.

Dr. Gokhan Sungun holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from Boğaziçi University obtained in 1991, an MBA in Accounting & Finance from Marmara University obtained in 1996, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Accounting & Finance from Marmara University obtained in 2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from CPA Australia in 2016, Independent Auditor's Certificate (Bagimsiz Denetci) from KGK - Public Oversight Accounting & Auditing Standards Authority of Turkey in 2015, Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2014, Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2012, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2005, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from TÜRMOB Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey in 1996, and Certified Diploma in Controlling (C.Dip.C.) from Roche Corporate Finance in 1995.
