Kara Harrison (Murdock)

Scientist at Yurogen Biosystems

Kara Harrison (Murdock) began their career in 2013 as a Researcher at Campbell University, where they worked closely with two of their professors to construct a fusion protein with the transcription factors Pdx-1 and MafA on the insulin promoter. Kara tested different sized linkers between the two transcription factors to determine which sized linker would produce the best confirmation for the DNA-binding domain. This research was done to understand more about Type 1 Diabetes. In 2015, they joined Yurogen Biosystems LLC as a Scientist.

Kara Harrison (Murdock) completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from Campbell University in 2015. Prior to that, they attended Thomas Dale High School from 2007 to 2011. In 2017, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology from Worcester State University.
