Jessie Zheng is an active student leader involved in various civic and political organizations, currently serving as a Student Fellow at Civics Unplugged and as an intern for the Connecticut General Assembly under Senator Saud Anwar and Representative Maryam Khan. Roles also include Student Fellow at YVote, where policy development on social issues is emphasized, and intern at the CT Democratic AAPI Caucus, focusing on administrative support and event coordination. As the Director of Community Outreach for the Connecticut Youth Political Advocacy Center, Jessie leads efforts to engage youth in civic matters. Additionally, Jessie is the founder and President of CT Speech & Action, a nonprofit organization aimed at connecting educational discourse with social action. Previous experience includes a summer internship in the consumer advocacy department at the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General, where Jessie led research for a guide on elder abuse. Jessie Zheng is currently pursuing a high school diploma at Amity Regional High School.
