David Smith

David Smith is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Equip Corporate Advisory since November 2016 and concurrently serves as Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for YWCA Australia and as a Director for The Liver Foundation, both starting in December 2021. Smith has previously held significant leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer at Local Government Super and Children's Cancer Institute, and Chief Executive positions at Axis Securities Limited, Zurich Insurance, and Insurance Australia Group. Smith began a career in banking with Westpac Banking Corporation. Academically, Smith earned an MBA in Strategic Business Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Human Resources and Retail Banking from Massey University.
