Hillary Douin, LCSW, CDVP has extensive experience in the field of social work and domestic violence. Hillary currently holds the position of Director of Domestic Violence at YWCA Evanston/North Shore since June 2020. Before that, they worked as a Clinical Services Manager at the same organization from 2018 to 2020, where they managed the daily operations of the residential and community services of the domestic violence program.

In addition to their work at YWCA Evanston/North Shore, Hillary has also worked as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice since August 2017. Hillary Douin, LCSW, CDVP has a diverse education history. In 2002, they obtained their BA in English and Classics from Northwestern University. Hillary also studied abroad for a semester at Royal Holloway, University of London, focusing on English Language and Literature and Classics in 2004. In 2007, they pursued a Masters of Science in Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Social Work at Columbia University, which they completed in 2009.

To further enhance their skills in psychotherapy, Hillary Douin attended the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. From 2014 to 2015, they obtained a degree in Level I: Affect Dysregulation, Survival Defenses, and Traumatic Memory, specializing in Trauma Psychotherapy. Following that, they completed Level II: Emotional Processing, Meaning-Making, and Attachment Repair from 2016 to 2018.

Shortly after, in October 2015, they obtained the license for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the same institution. Hillary Douin further specialized in domestic violence by obtaining the Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional certification in October 2017 through ILLINOIS CERTIFIED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROFESSIONALS INC. Finally, they became a Certified Anger Management Specialist-II in May 2014 from the National Anger Management Association.
