Jennifer Allen

Jennifer Allen serves as the Domestic Violence Assistant Director at YWCA Evanston/North Shore since May 2009, playing a crucial role in developing and implementing trauma-informed, equity-focused intervention strategies to combat domestic violence. Responsibilities include overseeing high-quality residential, community-based, and legal advocacy services, ensuring adherence to efficient systems, and supporting the development of departmental strategies aligned with organizational goals. Jennifer's career also includes roles as Legal Advocacy Services Manager and Civil Court Advocate at YWCA Evanston/North Shore, and a part-time Sales Associate at The Limited. Jennifer began their professional journey as an Advocacy Intern at A Woman's Place and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
