Lucy Cherono

Lucy Cherono is an experienced professional specializing in data science and education, currently serving as a Program Coordinator at YWCA Hamilton since December 2022. Previously, Lucy facilitated courses in the Meta Spark program at The African Leadership University from October 2019 to October 2024, where responsibilities included course delivery, participant support, and curriculum improvement. Additionally, Lucy held various roles within the same institution, such as Instructional Designer for Low-level Programming and Program Lead for Computer Science. Experience also includes work as a Test Administrator at Pearson VUE and an IS Instructor at Akilah Institute, as well as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies. Lucy holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Rwanda and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Mount Kenya University.
