YWCA High Point
Alice Owens is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations and youth ministry. As the Operations Director at YWCA High Point since February 2016, Alice is responsible for overseeing various organizational functions. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Youth Ministries at Adams Farm Community Church from June 2009 to December 2015, where Alice planned and executed activities for youth in grades 6-12 while providing mentorship. Earlier roles include working as a Bilingual Office Representative and Interpreter at Cone Health from October 2007 to March 2011 and serving as Staff at Campus Crusade for Christ from July 1993 to July 2007. Alice holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in History/English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The YWCA has been a champion for women and their families in High Point, changing lives since 1920. The organization has provided opportunities to women and girls to enable them to develop strong leadership skills and become strong, contributing members of our communities, and in turn, create a more equitable world and future for us all. The YWCA of High Point provides a safety net to women and children, unlike any other organization in High Point. It focuses on meeting the needs of families and maintaining strong connections with other organizations in the community, referring clients in need of those services and avoiding duplication of program efforts.
