Anita Thomas

Anita Thomas is a highly experienced professional currently serving as Chairperson of the NGO Committee on Financing for Development since June 2017, where responsibilities include liaising with UN agencies, managing programs, and leading strategic initiatives. As a Representative to the United Nations for Women First International Fund since 2015, Anita advocates for women's economic empowerment and gender equity while organizing key events and partnerships. Additionally, Anita has held various positions within YWCA Princeton and contributed to multiple organizations focused on social issues, including Conquer Paralysis Now and GMHC. With an academic background that includes Master's degrees in Finance, Public Policy, and Economics, Anita has a strong foundation to influence advocacy and policy in the nonprofit sector.
