Melissa Valdez

Melissa Valdez is a skilled professional with a diverse background in AI, automation, and STEM education. Currently serving as a Product Owner for AI & Automation at Zafin, Melissa has previously held significant roles such as a Lead Consultant in Business and Integration Services and a Technical Education Specialist at Vector Institute, where efforts focused on enhancing AI solutions for industry partners. Prior to that, Melissa worked at IBM as a Senior Technical Consultant, leading teams in delivering innovative AI-driven customer care solutions. Previous experience includes various roles in science outreach and education, contributing to programs that engage and educate youth in marginalized communities, as well as research positions at renowned institutions like CERN and Perimeter Institute.
