Yi Zhang

Yi Zhang's work experience begins with their current role as Co-Founder & EVP of Engineering at Zafrens, a lifesciences products company specializing in biology, chemistry, and engineering. Prior to this, Yi served as the VP of Engineering at Plexium from 2018 to 2022. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Director at Omniome. Between 2006 and 2015, Yi held the position of Director, Engineering and Assay Integration at Celula, Inc. Lastly, from 2000 to 2006, they worked as a Research Scientist at Call/Recall, Inc.

Yi Zhang pursued their education at Tsinghua University, beginning in 1990. Yi completed their Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering in 1995. Motivated to further their knowledge and expertise, Yi Zhang continued their academic journey at Tsinghua University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Engineering from 1995 to 1999.
