Florian Wegner

Florian Wegner is the CEO and founder of Zageno, a company that provides an online marketplace for life science research products. Florian has extensive experience in the field of eCommerce, having served as the Vice President Global Head of eCommerce at QIAGEN from August 2013 to December 2016. In this role, they were responsible for leading the digital transformation of QIAGEN by executing eCommerce strategy and implementing a new digital marketing and sales platform. Florian also headed and built QIAGEN's new eCommerce organization, which was responsible for 250-500+ million US$ in revenues and reported to the CFO.

Prior to their work at QIAGEN, Florian worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from January 2007 to July 2013. In this role, they managed and drove international projects, led teams, conducted analyses, derived insights, developed strategies, and communicated with top management in Germany, USA, France, and Italy.

Florian began their career as a medical doctor, specializing in cardiology. Florian worked at the University Hospital of Frankfurt from January 2005 to December 2007.

Florian Wegner has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Goethe University, and a field in medicine from the University of Toronto and New York University.
