Zj Li

ZJ Li is an accomplished executive in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of CMC at Zai Lab since February 2024. Previously, ZJ held the position of Vice President of Technical Development for Rare Disease at Amgen from October 2023 to February 2024, and Vice President of Technical Development at Horizon from September 2021 to October 2023, where ZJ integrated legacy Veila Bio's CMC functions and established multiple technical development teams to advance Horizon's diverse pipeline of products. ZJ's extensive experience at Bristol Myers Squibb from 2002 to September 2021 included roles as Executive Director and Head of both Biologics Analytical Development & Attribute Science and Biologics Process Development, where ZJ led significant consolidations and advancements in analytical and process development functions. ZJ's early career included roles at EntreMed and Nanjing Pharmaceutical Factory, and ZJ holds a PhD and MS in Chemical & Biochemical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, along with a BSc in Chemical Engineering & Applied Physics from Tsinghua University.
