John Shing Chau Leung

John Shing Chau Leung is an Associate at ZAIS Group since March 2021. Previously, Leung served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University, analyzing dark matter models using astronomical data and applying numerical, statistical, and machine learning techniques from August 2020 to March 2021. Leung completed a PhD in Particle Phenomenology at Brown University from August 2014 to May 2020, focusing on particle theory, phenomenology, astrophysics, and cosmology. In addition, Leung gained experience as a Research Associate at Berkeley Lab in 2011, contributing to the FPGA-based SEABAS data acquisition system for the ATLAS experiment at CERN, and as a Research Assistant at CERN in 2010, working on cathode strip chambers production for CMS endcaps. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MSc in Physics from Brown University, as well as an M.Phil. and B.S. in Physics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
