Shruti Shah has extensive experience in the actuarial field, with their most recent position being Resident Actuary and Data Lead at Zamara Kenya. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as CEO of Arama Lifestyle Limited, a social-impact startup providing aged-care services. Shruti previously worked at Zamara Kenya as a Senior Actuary and Head of Research and Product Development, providing advice and support to insurance companies and pension schemes. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Actuarial Consultant at Punter Southall Group, where they undertook various calculations and valuations for pension schemes. Shruti also served as a Project Manager at the Pension Protection Fund, managing pension scheme wind-ups and ensuring compliance with standards.
Shruti Shah completed their education at the University of Warwick from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Master of Mathematics degree in Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics. Prior to that, they attended Oshwal High School from 1999 to 2001, where they completed their GCE 'A' Levels. Additionally, Shruti achieved certifications as a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2013, and as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) in 2009.
