Mutemwa Mebelo

Mutemwa Mebelo is an experienced economist currently serving as an Executive Committee Member at the Economics Association of Zambia since April 2024 and as a Senior Economist at the Zambia Revenue Authority since February 2015, focusing on compliance management and taxpayer analysis. Previous roles at the Zambia Revenue Authority include Economist, where responsibilities involved data collection and departmental research, and Examining Officer in the Customs Services Division, where tasks included revenue declaration examination and compliance enforcement. Mutemwa's career began as a Management Trainee within the Customs Services Division. Academically, Mutemwa holds a Master's degree in International Trade Policy and Trade Law from the Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa/Lund University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Statistics from the University of Zambia. Additionally, Mutemwa has experience as a Tutor at the University of Zambia from 2010 to 2012.
