Chelsea Liekhus-Schmaltz

Chelsea Liekhus-Schmaltz is a Senior Research Data Scientist at Zap Energy since September 2021, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Chemistry Department at the University of Washington, where ultrafast x-ray experiments were performed on model complexes related to photosynthesis and photocell technology from April 2019 to September 2021. Chelsea completed a PhD in Physics at Stanford University from 2012 to 2017, focusing on the properties of chemistry using short light pulses on small molecules, and held positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo and as a Laboratory Assistant at Xerox Canada and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, gaining valuable experience in experimental and design work.
