Prof. Dr. Nick Gehrke

Prof. Dr. Nick Gehrke has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Prof. Dr. Nick is currently the Chief of Data & Knowledge and Co-Founder at zapliance, specializing in the analysis of financial business processes using advanced technology. At zapliance, they support customers in transforming their data into actionable insights through AI-powered apps.

Prof. Dr. Gehrke is also a Board Member at the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC) e.V., starting in 2019.

Prior to their current roles, they were a Professor at Nordakademie Hochschule der Wirtschaft since 2010.

Prof. Dr. Nick Gehrke has a diverse educational background in taxation, information systems, and business. Prof. Dr. Nick first pursued a degree in Taxation, earning the title of Steuerberater/German Tax Advisor from an unknown institution. Prof. Dr. Nick then went on to obtain their Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in 2005. In 2000, they enrolled at The University of Göttingen where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Information Systems, specializing in Wirtschaftsinformatik/Information Systems. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Dipl.-Kfm. (Diplom-Kaufmann) degree from the University of Hamburg between 1996 and 2000, where they studied Taxation, Computer Science, and Econometrics. Through their various degrees and fields of study, Prof. Dr. Nick Gehrke has gained a comprehensive understanding of taxation, information systems, and business-related topics.
