Scott Brown

Scott Brown has an extensive career in fiber engineering and geoscience, spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Senior Fiber Engineer and Subject Matter Expert at Zayo Group since July 2012, Scott has held multiple roles including Senior Manager for the Southeast Region and Fiber Engineer for Long Haul/LP FTTx. Prior experience at AboveNet involved managing customer order processing for various fiber products and conducting quality assurance audits in major Texas cities and Chicago. Scott’s engineering background includes contract work at MCI WorldCom with a focus on data conversion and quality assurance for fiber optic networks. Earlier, Scott was a Senior Geoscience Technician at ExxonMobil, where responsibilities included risk analysis and producing hydrocarbon analysis reports. Educationally, Scott possesses an Associate Degree in Drafting Technology from Midland College, obtained between 1980 and 1982.
