Bjørn Kjærand Haugland

Bjørn Kjærand Haugland has a diverse work experience, primarily in leadership and advisory roles. Bjørn Kjærand is currently serving as the Board Chair at VilVite since November 2021. In 2018, they became a Member of Norges Tekniske Vitenskapsakademi (NTVA) and has been involved in the organization ever since. As the Chief Executive Officer of Skift - Næringslivets klimaledere since March 2019, they have played a significant role in leading the company. Bjørn Kjærand is also a Co-Founder of Zeabuz and TERRAVERA Foundation since December 2019, contributing to the development and establishment of these organizations. Bjørn Kjærand Haugland holds a position as a Board Member in Teknologirådet - The Norwegian Board of Technology since September 2020, Sporveien AS since August 2020, and WWF-Norway since January 2015. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member in Kezzler from April 2019 to March 2022 and PRIO from February 2019 to February 2022.

Bjørn Kjærand Haugland obtained their B.Sc. in Maritime Engineering from Bergen Ingeniør Høyskole, where they studied from 1985 to 1988. Bjørn Kjærand then pursued a M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Structures & hydrodynamics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1988 to 1990. In 2000, Haugland attended IMD for a non-degree program in Strategic International Leadership. Most recently, in 2018, they undertook a digital transformation program at INSEAD.
