Karan Pathak

Karan Pathak's work experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Engineer at Zeblok Computational Inc. starting in 2023. Before that, they were a Co-Founder at DataTurtles from 2020 to 2022, where they managed and delivered custom software solutions and led a team of developers and designers. Prior to that, they worked at Schlumberger as a Data Scientist from 2018 to 2020, where they automated seismic fault interpretation and developed a distributed prediction service. Karan also worked as a Software Engineer at Schlumberger from 2017 to 2018, where they converted a monolithic application and built a client library for accessing well logs. In 2016, they had an internship at ADmyBRAND, where they worked on data extraction and cleaning for a media hoarding management platform.

Karan Pathak completed their Senior Secondary education at Somerville School, Noida from 2006 to 2012. Karan then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, from 2013 to 2017.

In 2018, Karan obtained several certifications related to data science and machine learning. These included certifications in data manipulation with pandas, data visualization with Python, databases in Python, and SQL for data science from DataCamp. Additionally, they completed a certification in data cleaning in Python from DataCamp. Karan also completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" course from Coursera, as well as the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course, also from Coursera.

In 2019, Karan obtained certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) essentials, intermediate machine learning with TensorFlow on GCP, and an introduction to machine learning and image processing, all from Qwiklabs.

Currently, Karan Pathak is pursuing a Master of Science in Professional Computer Science, with a focus on Visual Computing, at Simon Fraser University, starting in 2022.
