Thuso Simon

Thuso Simon is an accomplished Principal Data Engineer at ZEDGE since April 2023 and has been a Planetarium Conductor at Iziko Museums since August 2010, engaging the public in astronomy through talks and courses. Prior experience includes roles such as Head of Data and ML at Credrails, Head of Data at Bloqtech Solutions, and Data Scientist positions at JUMO.WORLD and Zoona, where significant contributions included designing data-driven tools and models for consumer behavior analysis and fraud detection. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Astrostatistics and an MSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Cape Town, complemented by a BS in Astronomy and Astrophysics from The University of New Mexico.
