Peter Jenkins

Director, Advancement at ZEELAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

Peter Jenkins is the current Director of Advancement at ZEELAND CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. Peter has also previously worked as the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs and Student Life at Lexington Christian Academy and as a Pastor to Students at Gracespring Bible Church.

At Lexington Christian Academy, Peter was responsible for creating and managing Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts for Meadow Breeze Day Camp. Peter was also the primary communicator with parents and guardians of campers, communicating via email, phone call, and face-to-face interactions. Additionally, Peter developed and designed (web)site maps for simple and clear communication. Peter assisted the Dean of Students in program development and daily student life activities, as well as ran the after school program for middle school students.

At Gracespring Bible Church, Peter oversaw middle school, high school, and college age programming for 300 students. Peter managed responsibilities and relationships with 60 volunteers and 2 part-time staff members. Peter also preached three sermons a week, selected and created small group curriculum for middle school students, recruited leadership, laid out a vision, and launched a college age ministry. Additionally, they oversaw the organization and performance of Middle School - College Age worship bands and provided vision, leadership, and coordination for fundraisers that made over $25,000 annually. Peter also lead missions trips with 30+ members to Detroit, MI, Baltimore, MD, and Washington D.C., planned and executed multiple weekend retreats and all-nighters. Throughout their time at Gracespring Bible Church, Peter's role progressed from Jr. Intern to Pastor to Students.

Peter Jenkins began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. Peter then went on to obtain a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Peter Jenkins reports to Tim McAboy, Head of School. They are on a team with Karyl Morin - Director, Learning Innovation, Tim Paauw - Middle School Principal, and Jodi Pierce - Immersion Director. A direct report to Peter Jenkins is and Lois Gerritsma - Advancement Assistant.
