Roopesh Francis

Roopesh Francis has a wealth of experience in the IT industry, beginning in 2004 as a Customer Engineer at HCL Infosystems Ltd. During their time there, they gained experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000/Linux servers, as well as configuring active directory services and domain controllers. In 2006, they moved to HCL Comnet Ltd as a Specialist - Data Center. Here, they were a Senior UNIX System Administrator responsible for the resolution of escalated remedy tickets from the L1 and L2 teams and coordinating with various teams. In 2007, they joined IBM as a Technical Service Professional, where they provided solutions planning and design for Superdome consolidation (HP-UX) and acted as a technical point of contact for the migration and production issues. In 2009, they moved to Encora @ Citi as a Unix Consultant Lead, leading a team to plan and design various infrastructure projects and support high severity incidents in UNIX platform. In 2013, they joined Sony Electronics as an IT Consultant, working on infrastructure solution design, project management and service delivery with cost optimization and effective virtualization model. Roopesh also took ownership of high severity incidents and timely resolutions to reduce business impact. Finally, in 2020, they joined Zeller as a Cloud and Security Lead.

Roopesh Francis has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology and a Polytechnic Diploma in Electronics Engineering, which they obtained between 2000 and 2003. Roopesh also has various certifications, including TOGAF® 9 Certification (2020), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (2019), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) (2019), Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack (2016), IBM Certified Solution Architect - Cloud Computing Infrastructure V1 (2013), IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX 7 (2013), ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITILF) (2010), and HP Certified System Engineer (2007).
