Christy O. Milam has an extensive work experience, beginning in 1995 with the Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association, where they served as Communications Specialist. In 1998, they moved to Transformance as Marketing Manager, and then to Omni Hotels & Resorts in 1999 as Director of Catering and Conference Planning. From 2002 to 2022, they worked at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX, where they held three roles: Director of Children and Family Ministry, Director of Preschool, and Childcare Coordinator. Currently, they are the Customer Advocacy and Marketing Manager at Zello.

Christy O. Milam attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a degree in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations. Christy O. then went on to pursue post-graduate studies at Texas State University in Curriculum and Instruction. In November 2013, they obtained a National Childcare Director's Credential from the National Institute of Childcare Management.
