Tariq Basraoui has an extensive work experience in various marketing and digital roles. Tariq most recently worked at Zencastr as the Director of Community Marketing, where they built and led teams for marketing, community, and advertising efforts. Tariq successfully launched and managed the Zencastr Creator Network, growing it to over 10,000 linked creators within 18 months.
Prior to that, Tariq worked at Engine as the Director of Digital Marketing, where they were responsible for managing and executing various digital marketing tasks globally, including website development, rebranding, CMS, lead generation, content publishing, and SEO.
Before Engine, Tariq held positions at EMX Digital as the Digital Marketing Director and Senior Digital Marketing Manager. Tariq also worked at TikTok, where they were a founding member of the Product Marketing team. At TikTok, they invented challenges and content strategies, managed social video vertical channels, and contributed to the development of music to movement technology.
Additionally, Tariq has experience as the owner of Cole Taylor Media Group, where they ran an agency. Tariq also worked at Flipagram, a popular short-video platform, as a Social Media Manager, Content Manager, and Content Developer.
Tariq started their career at The Commonwealth Club of California, initially as an Operations Intern and later as a Program Operations Associate.
Tariq Basraoui attended The Beacon School from 2006 to 2010. Following that, from 2010 to 2014, they pursued their undergraduate degree at Baruch College. At Baruch College, Tariq focused on majoring in Political Science and History, with a minor in Art History.
