Julien Balmont

Julien Balmont has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Julien is currently a Member at The Unicorn CTO since October 2021. Julien was also a Co-founder, CTO, and CPO at Zenchef, where they managed the development and product team and implemented product strategy, financial tools, and administrative tasks. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager and Senior Developer at PayPal, Zong, and Echovox, where they developed and maintained tools related to SMS payments and managed a team. Julien also worked as a Java Developer at PSA Peugeot Citroën and as a PHP Developer at ACTOLL. Julien began their career as a Development Engineer at GFI Informatique.

Julien Balmont completed their high school education from Institut Notre Dame Meudon, specializing in Physical Sciences, from 1991 to 1999. Julien then pursued an Associate's degree in Computer Software Engineering from UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, from 1999 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Julien has also obtained several certifications. Julien completed various Coursera courses, including "Introduction to Swift Programming," "Exploratory Data Analysis," "Getting and Cleaning Data," "R Programming," and "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" in 2016. Julien is also certified in Zend PHP 5.3 by Zend, acquired in November 2011. More recently, they obtained the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2020, as well as the "Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner" certification from Pearson VUE.

Julien has also pursued additional education through online platforms. Julien has completed courses on Code School such as "CSS Cross-Country," "Front-end Formations," "Front-end Foundations," "Git Real," "Git Real 2," "Journey Into Mobile," and "unmasking-html-emails." The completion months and years for these certifications were not provided.
