Carmel Hanany

Chief of Staff at Zencity

Carmel Hanany is the current Chief of Staff at Zencity. Prior to their current role, Carmel served as the Planning and Construction manager and Project Manager at Reality Investment Funds from January 2019 to June 2021. In this role, Carmel was responsible for developing the planning-legal aspects of all real-estate assets of the fund, as well as devising betterment strategies for assets, selecting planning alternatives, steering plan promotion, and consulting on ongoing legal issues. Carmel also promoted real estate betterment projects as Project Manager, forming and leading a team of advisors, and managing multimillion NIS budgets.

From March 2015 to December 2018, Carmel worked as an Associate at Goldfarb Seligman & Co., where they represented clients in administrative petitions and civil claims, consulted in ongoing statutory proceedings for plan approval on the planning committees, led legislative change (regulations) on deploying the natural gas infrastructure, and prepared legal opinions and conducted due diligence for real estate assets.

Before their work in the private sector, Carmel served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University from October 2012 to October 2014.

Carmel Hanany received a Master of Arts in Geography and Urban Planning from Tel Aviv University. Carmel also participated in the Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for Outstanding Students at Tel Aviv University. Carmel Hanany received a Bachelor of Laws in Law from Tel Aviv University and is certified by the Israeli Bar Association as a lawyer.
