Deryk Gillespie

Deryk Gillespie is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the transportation and logistics sectors. Currently serving as VP & Operating Partner - Ventures at Trimac Transportation since 2022, Deryk focuses on developing and managing a diverse portfolio aimed at reconfiguring the transportation value chain. Deryk has co-founded and provides advisory support to various logistics and freight-tech startups since 2022 and has held advisory board responsibilities at Zengistics since September 2021. Deryk previously held key leadership roles at Trimac Transportation from 2017 to 2021, including VP IT & Innovation and VP Fleet & Network Operations. Deryk's career began at SLH Transport Inc. and spans a significant tenure at Canadian Pacific Railway, culminating in positions such as GM & AVP of Financial Planning & Analysis. Deryk holds a CPA, CMA designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada and a B.Comm in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan.
