Rimvydas Petkus

Rimvydas Petkus has an extensive work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Rimvydas started their career in 2004 as a System Administrator at Vilnius University, where they were responsible for server administration and maintenance. Following that, they worked as a Software Developer at Saikas, focusing on the development of online insurance documents. In 2008, they joined Algoritmu sistemos as a Software Tester, where they validated and verified system requirements and designs.

In 2010, Rimvydas moved to Adform as a Software Tester and acted as a support tester, investigating critical business situations and improving communication processes between development and client service teams. Rimvydas also played a key role in daily regression testing.

From 2013 to 2014, Rimvydas worked as a Senior Software Tester at Wickedweb Ltd, where they led the testing process, drove test automation, and managed a test team. Rimvydas contributed to improving the development process and implemented continuous integration practices.

In 2014, Rimvydas joined Lindorff as a Test Manager, leading the invoicing team and creating change request and change management processes. Rimvydas also led the test team within the invoicing team and focused on test automation for database and web solutions.

From 2016 to 2018, Rimvydas joined Danske Bank as a Lead Test Manager for MobilePay, where they provided leadership in test management and was responsible for driving test strategy and process improvements.

Most recently, Rimvydas joined Zenitech in 2018 as a Lead QA Engineer, where they apply their expertise in quality assurance to lead and manage the QA team.

In 2020, they began working at automateIT.pro as a Team Member, utilizing their skills and experience in software testing and quality assurance.

Throughout their career, Rimvydas has demonstrated a strong focus on test automation, process improvement, and leading teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Rimvydas Petkus earned a Master's degree in Informatics from Vilnius University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the same university from 2002 to 2006. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including the ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Manager (CTAL-TM) from Brightest Org in December 2018, Managing Your Time from LinkedIn in October 2016, and ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Foundation Level from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in June 2010.
