Thomas Little PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of sports science and performance. Thomas is currently serving as the Head of Performance at Sheffield United Football Club since 2022. Prior to this, Thomas founded and directed COLOUR-FIT LTD in 2016. Thomas also held the position of Head of Performance & Nutrition at hero from 2018.

Thomas has extensive experience in the football industry, having worked as the Head of Performance at Preston North End FC from 2013 to 2022. Thomas has also worked as a Performance Consultant at the New Zealand Football Federation from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Thomas served as the Head of Sports Science at Birmingham City FC from 2013 to 2014 and as the Head of Performance at Huddersfield Town FC from 2011 to 2013.

Earlier in their career, Thomas held the position of Head of Sport Science at Burnley Football Club from 2009 to 2011. Thomas also served as the Head of Sport Science at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club from 2007 to 2009 and at Barnsley Football Club from 2004 to 2006.

Through their various roles, Thomas has gained expertise in sports performance, nutrition, and consulting, making him a well-rounded professional in the field.

Thomas Little earned their bachelor's degree in Sports Science from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Thomas then pursued a master's degree in Sports Science & Nutrition at Staffordshire University, which they completed from 2000 to 2001. Thomas obtained their PhD in Physiology from The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they conducted research from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Thomas has obtained certifications such as being a NASM Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, SENr Certified by the BDA, and an UKCSA Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach.
