Þór (Thor) Stefánsson is a Computer Vision Engineer with extensive experience in developing software and algorithms for autonomous driving, currently employed at Zenseact since October 2020, and previously at ZENUITY from January 2020 to October 2020. Þór completed a Master Thesis on 3D obstacle avoidance for drones at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which utilized OctoMap for merging sensor data. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and multiple Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Háskóli Íslands, as well as a study period at UC Santa Barbara. Additionally, Þór worked as a Repair Specialist in a mobility aids workshop at Icelandic Health Insurance from May 2016 to August 2017.
