Stefan Herkewitz

Stefan Herkewitz is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Zero Emission Industries since January 2025, Stefan has previously held key positions including Engineering Manager and Mechanical Design Engineer at Heirloom from September 2021 to January 2025. Stefan's background includes advisory roles at Zero Emission Industries, formerly known as Golden Gate Zero Emission Marine, as well as experience as a Mechanical Engineer at RDY. Prior to that, Stefan gained significant engineering experience at SpaceX, where roles included Build Engineer and Lead Mechanical Engineer, and began a career at Fox Racing Shox as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. Stefan graduated from San José State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
