Michelle Chin has over 20 years of professional experience in the design and technology industry. Michelle began their career in 2000 as a Junior Web Developer at DeepBridge Content Solutions. From 2001 to 2012, they worked at Serco Inc. in various roles, including User Experience Designer, Quality Assurance Specialist, Senior Graphic Designer, and Multimedia Developer. In 2012, they moved to Rock Creek Strategic Marketing as a Senior User Experience Strategist. From 2014 to 2022, they worked at Citrix in various roles, including Principal DesignOps Manager, Manager II, Product Design, and Principal Product Designer. Currently, they are employed at ZeroHeight as a Design Advocate, where they help build community, navigates customers' design system challenges, researches and writes articles, and educates on best practices in all things design systems.

Michelle Chin obtained a Master of Science Degree in Interaction Design and Information Architecture from the University of Baltimore in 2011. Michelle also holds a Certificate in Interactive Multimedia from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management, Environmental Education focus from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Michelle has obtained a Divemaster (DM) certification from PADI in October 2013 and a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile Inc in March 2020.
