Bala Sankaran

Bala Sankaran is an experienced professional with a diverse background in technology, sales, and management consulting. Currently serving as an Advisor and Board Member at ZeroNorth, Bala provides strategic guidance to the CEO. Prior to this role, Bala co-founded Alpha Ori Technology, where responsibilities included overall strategy and operations within the merchant marine industry, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as IoT and AI. Bala held various positions at Twitter, culminating as Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing Operations, as well as in significant roles at Google and McKinsey & Company. Early career experience includes serving as Chief Engineer at Seaarland Shipping Management. Bala possesses an MBA from The Wharton School and a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from DMET.
