Jacob Gotberg has over a decade of professional experience in the engineering and IT fields. In 2021, they began their current role as Director of Engineering at ZeroNox, Inc., where they lead the development of the company's platform while incubating disruptive technologies. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist at BYU Broadcasting, where they organized a team of talented student workers and fulltime staff to wrangle all data from Nielsen, Adobe, YouTube, and their own backend. In 2019, they were a Senior Software Engineer at SimpleConsign, powered by Traxia, where they led the stack selection process for their next generation of web apps and APIs. From 2016 to 2014, Jacob was a Cyberinfrastructure Engineer at the University of Missouri, collaborating with researchers to develop scientific computing pipelines. From 2014 to 2013, they worked as a Senior HPC Applications Analyst at Sandia National Laboratories, where they were responsible for tuning some of the largest supercomputers in the world. In 2013, they were a Senior HPC Sysadmin and Researcher at BYU MERS Lab, where they were the architect and sysadmin for the supercomputer. In 2012, they were a Test Engineer at GE Healthcare, developing a comprehensive solution to drive the data acquisition and testing protocols of a mobile medical X-Ray machine. From 2009 to 2008, Jacob was the Co-founder of BlackSky - Cloud HPC, where they developed hardware and cooling systems to accompany a range of custom cloud computing software products. In 2008, they worked as an ITS Special Projects at SpaceX, where they reported directly to the CIO on several enterprise wide projects and then shifted to HPC maintenance and optimization. Finally, from 2006 to 2009, Jacob was the IT Manager and VBA Programmer at NormaTec, where they upgraded an aging Access DB and migrated the customer facing app to the web.

Jacob Gotberg completed a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they were a Bachelor of Science Candidate in Computer Science then Electrical Engineering at Brigham Young University from 2005 to 2006.
