Ross Bownes

Ross Bownes has held a variety of roles in the IT and technology industry since 2004. Ross began their career as an Administrative Assistant at The Home Office, where they were responsible for office operations such as filing, telephone contact and email correspondence. In 2008, they joined Apple Inc. as a Family Room Specialist (Apple Certified Trainer), providing consumer tutorials on both Mac and iOS devices and managing customer service for faulty hardware and software. Ross then moved to DLA Piper in 2013, where they served as Service Desk Lead and Integration Specialist for the UK IT Service Desk of a global law firm. In 2017, they became Head of IT at Leeds Playhouse, where they were responsible for all technology and infrastructure within the theatre. In 2022, they took on the role of IT Manager (Technical) at Askham Bryan College, and in 2023 they were appointed Head of IT Support Services at Zest, where they are responsible for ensuring operational integrity and security of technical infrastructure.

Ross Bownes' education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Graphic Design from Sheffield Hallam University, which they completed between 2005 and 2009, as well as an Art Foundation in Graphic Design from Leeds Beckett University, which they completed between 2004 and 2005.
